Originally when getting the shoes, I was professionally fitted and ended up going a half a size up from my street shoe to allow room to point with high arches, and for possible swelling. Since the first pair had lasted so long I decided to order another pair. I simply purchased an item that goes into the shoes right under the heel to prevent sliding or slipping. But that's what I wanted so that they will last through this school year. I purchased a size 7 in these shoes and they are just a little big. My daughter is 11 years old and wears a 4.5 in other shoes. The 9 wide was a little more roomy and didn't pinch. I tried a regular 9 at the store and it sort of fit. Probably that could be remedied with getting the t-strap version, the only difference between the two being that the t-strap heel is 2", not 1.5".ĪLL of my street shoes are size 9, and I purchased a size 9 wide.
